Morish Kitchens Pty Ltd, known as Morish Nuts, is a family owned and operated business. The present owners, Archie Moroni & Marie Mapp started Morish Nuts in a rented town house in Cottesloe, Western Australia. Archie was attending the Murdoch University, Western Australia at that time.

Facilities were very primitive with Archie cooking half-kilo batches on a camping gas ring and Marie bagging and tying the cellophane bags with curling ribbon.

These first offerings were sold at local universities and markets.

Feedback was very positive and soon after starting, the demand was so strong that a part time business quickly grew into a full time operation. Archie’s university studies were placed on long term hold to concentrate on producing Morish Nuts. They still are.

After 20 years and five moves, Morish Nuts now operates from a custom built kitchen in the Swan Valley in Western Australia employing a staff of up to 25 persons from time to time.

Product can be sourced from three outlets in Fremantle, Perth and in the Swan Valley.

Morish Nuts is also sold at agricultural shows, field days or special events throughout Australia.

Morish Nuts is served on domestic flights with Morish savoury nibbles featuring on Virgin’s in-flight menu. The deal was struck after a Virgin team member went nutty for the traditional recipe at the Brisbane Royal Show also known as EKKA.

In addition to this, Morish Nuts supplies on-board Qantas Airlines, Jet Star flights and leading hotels such as The Duxton, Pan Pacific, Grand Chancellor and Versace with products.

Morish Nuts is made by artisans from a recipe first developed by the Moors in the Byzantine era.

Viewing areas are available at the Swan Valley kitchen to observe the artisans at work and taste our freshly prepared product.

Premium selected nuts are mostly sourced from Australian producers. We roast and lightly caramel-coat the nuts to enhance the natural flavor of the nuts and kernels.

Offering a wide range of treats that are free of gluten, lactose, additives, preservatives and colourants. We also offer gluten free range of products.

An extensive range of savoury offerings, including – Australian macadamias, roasted and salted, Wasabi and Abalone coated, offer unique taste sensations.

Our range of products are traditional caramel coated Morish Nuts or the mouth- watering peanut brittle and peanut or macadamia crunch. The exotic hot & spicy caramel coated peanuts, cashews and macadamias dusted with chilli, lime zest and select spices will add a zing to the taste buds
