A new season has begun for the macadamia nut, and with it we can celebrate the wonderful nut being commercially grown in Australia. We are so proud that these delicious buttery treats originate in our beautiful country, so why not celebrate by making macadamia nut butter!
Nut butter is something so easy to make that there really is no excuse to purchase it from the shop anymore. There is nothing like the delicious butter wiped taste of fresh macadamia nut butter.
Nut butter is becoming popular recently as it’s quick, easy to make, and you know exactly what is going into it and what you are putting into your body.
It can be used for a variety of things after you have made it like in your smoothies for added protein, on toast, wraps, crumpets, pancakes. Try to combine with fruit such as apples, pears or bananas. It is also wonderful paired with honey, chocolate spreads, raisins, bacon, pickles, apple butter, potato chips, or yogurt.
Toss macadamia nuts with cinnamon, honey and coconut oil, bake until fragrant and process these homemade honey roasted macadamias until smooth and creamy.
